Actually thought about this, but at least for now decided against it: I really like the system to be “secure by default”. Setting a secret passphrase for the configuration WiFi, only to have its passphrase visible in plaintext on the screens seems rather pointless. I guess adding this feature as a configuration option is possible. I can add that to the testing release.
At the moment we are exploring other setup options - so if no one else needs this option, please do not use too much energy to implement it.
