rPi4 constantly reboot after 2-3 Minutes

Hi,

i’m facing a serious problem with my infobeamer device. The pi reboots every 2-3 minutes. But this only happens, when the content is shown. During the power schedule “off” time, The device is reachable and the uptime is hours/days. As soon as the device show its content, the pi reboots.

Is there a chance to get some logfiles from the pi, to see, what’s causing the reboot?

Kind regards

Holger

I see that you’re running the native browser on a Pi4 model with 1GB RAM. I fear that might be too little memory for that. Browsers got a bit bloated and my guess is that the Pi just runs out of memory after a few page loads resulting in so little free memory that the Pi constantly has to drop and reload data from the SD card. This eventually slows the Pi to a halt which then triggers the hard watchdog and it reboots. At least that would be my guess from remote.

Easiest way for me to confirm this would be if you have the Pi running, on its detail page, click on Manage (top right), then Tools box > Download Debug log. Sent the resulting log output to hello@info-beamer.com (do not paste it here!) and I’ll take a look.
