What RAM capacity?

Hello, is there any advantage to getting a Raspberry Pi 5 with a lot of RAM for simply streaming videos/photos?

And if so, 4 or 8 GB?

If you only play videos and images, even 1GB of RAM is would probably be sufficient. For a bit more flexibility and headroom I would still recommend the 2GB variant as that also allows more RAM to be used as IO cache. 4 or 8GB are only needed if you want to run a browser locally on the device.
